About
Bough & Iron is a small shop for home pieces made from iron and wood.
We started it because most home decor is designed to be replaced. We wanted the opposite: pieces with some weight to them, made from materials that age well, and ideally with a person behind them.
Where the pieces come from
We don't manufacture anything ourselves. We choose work from a small group of independent makers and suppliers and sell it in one place.
The ironwork comes from Luis Márquez Studio, a small workshop in Texas. Every candleholder, lamp, mirror and bed is shaped by hand and made after you order it. No two come out exactly alike.
The wood furniture (bed frames, nightstands, dressers and desks) comes from established furniture makers. We picked it for warm grain and simple mid-century lines that sit well beside iron.
The smaller pieces (baskets, planters, vases and faux botanicals) are there to finish a room.
Every product page names the maker, so you always know who made what.
How ordering works
- Ships from the maker. Your order goes straight to the maker, who ships it to you. That keeps prices honest and lets handmade pieces be made fresh for you.
- Handmade takes a little time. Hand-forged pieces usually ship in about 10 days. In-stock pieces usually ship in 1 to 3 business days.
- US only, for now. Shipping is calculated at checkout, with no surprises afterwards.
- 30-day returns. See the refund policy for details.
